Days 1-3
Dublin – Temple House, County Sligo
Check in Day 1 - Dinner followed by a Yoga Nidra practice
Arriving at Temple house will be our home for the first three nights. A classical Georgian manor set on a private estate of over 1,000 acres. This luxury country house in County Sligo, Ireland is overlooking a 13th-century lakeside castle of the Knights Templar. The Perceval family home since 1665, the present manor was redesigned in 1864 and enjoys the authentic and unpretentious luxury country house. Our days start with a yoga class followed by breakfast.
Our afternoons are spent discovering this beautiful part of the west of Ireland.
On a clear day, the burial Karn of Queen Maeve is visible from the grounds of Temple house. Queen Maeve’s trail is a sacred, magical place in County Sligo. A special place made sacred by our stone-age ancestors and mythologized by their Iron age descendants - and by a modern poet.
The beauty and mythology associated with the Sligo landscape were the great inspiration for Nobel Prize-winning poet W.B. Yeats. As a dominant regional landmark, Knocknarea is particularly prominent in his work, being featured in a total of seven poems.
Day 2 Knocknarae - Seaweed bath, Pub dinner
Visit Queen Maeve in her resting place on the summit of Knocknarea. Legend has it that she was interred, in full battle gear, within the stones of the most dramatic tumulus in Ireland, at least 3,500 years after its construction by our Neolithic ancestors. We don’t know what other secrets are inside that undisturbed summit tumulus, so bring your imagination with you to this unique place.
Day 3 Knocknashee - Lunch with Dinner at Temple House
Knocknashee, the Hill of the Fairies, is a beautiful table-top mountain in southwest Sligo, which rises suddenly from the drumlin plain to dominate the surrounding countryside. The area around Knocknashee is thickly dotted with ringforts and prehistoric mounds and there are several ruined megalithic chambers in the area, all with commanding views to the mountain.
Day 4 - Depart by ferry to Westport - Clare Island
Dinner, and Yoga
The birthplace of Grace O Malley, Clare Island is a mountainous island guarding the entrance to Clew Bay in County Mayo, Ireland. It is famous as the home of the 15th-century pirate queen Gráinne O'Malley.
The Island is located 3.5 miles off the west coast of County Mayo. The ferry crossing from Roonagh Pier takes approximately 25 minutes and there is every chance that you will be accompanied on your journey by a school of dolphins.
Day 5 – Clare Island
Yoga, Breakfast, Bikes, Cliff walk, Visit the burial place of Grace O’Malley, Cove swim, Dinner.
Day 6 – Westport, County Mayo - Anam Croi Retreat House
Ferry to the mainland, lunch in Westport with free time to explore town. Dinner at Anam Croi, with a Sound bath, Sauna, and Ice bath.

Anam Croí is about connection to earth, the floor coverings are entirely plant based all over the house, bedrooms are corn silk and flax with cork and linseed everywhere else. Completely natural under your bare feet. The yoga room is perfectly situated to the south side of the house and overlooks a superb view of Ireland’s Holy Mountain, Croagh Patrick. The room is purposely designed for yoga and meditation and has very large windows and 2 sliding doors at each end, allowing lots of fresh air to circulate when required. A sound healing session followed by a sauna and ice bath for those that wishes to partake are scheduled.
Day 7- 8 Dublin City
Arriving by Train we arrive back in the fair city of Dublin. Hotel check-in. Free time to wonder around town with Caroline and Sheilah. Dinner in City.
Dublin is a thriving cultural center and boasts a great literary legacy with many luminaries of Irish literature such as Joyce, Shaw, Yeats, Wilde, Kavanagh, and Beckett. Dublin is where you'll find many of the nation's treasures, housed in the city's galleries and museums, and is where some of the most important events of Ireland were played out, most notably the Easter Uprising of 1916. Though the battle between the IRA and British Forces caused extensive damage to the O'Connell Street area of Dublin, (the bullet holes can still be seen on the General Post Office) this was one of the formative events of the Irish Republic. Ending our week in Dublin the afternoon is yours to explore, meeting with your hosts for dinner and farewell hugs!
Day 8 - Depart to the airport for home.
“There are no strangers, only friends you have not met yet.”
- William Butler Yeats
