Sheilah Laffan has a passion for fitness and healthy living. She is a knowledgeable certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer, who promotes a safe, accessible, inclusive and a fun workout environment. Sheilah believes strongly in reaching optimal fitness and well-being at any age and uses an integrated mind-body-spirit approach to do so. Sheilah has actively taught and is a Zumba® Network Instructor since 2010. She is licensed to teach Zumba®, Zumba® Toning, Zumba® Gold, and Sentao®. She has successfully completed 200 Hours of Yoga Teacher Training with Yogafit® Canada and is a Yoga Alliance member as well as an Accessible Yoga Ambassador. Due to her own battles with Stage 4 Cancer and a Stroke she experienced PTSD. As such, she specialized in Yogafit® for Warriors®, a 100 hours trauma-sensitive yoga for Adults and Children. Warrior classes provide a greater healing for persons dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety, Addiction, High Stress and Trauma. Sheilah has specialized in teaching Accessible Yoga for ALL including ADD/ADHD,and the Autism Spectrum. As a life long learner, she continues her personal growth and has taken the following courses: Restorative Yoga, Accessible Yoga and she's currently working on her Yoga Therapist 900 hour designation. Sheilah successfully completed a 100 hours Ayurveda Wellness Coach certification and holds a Seniors Fitness Instructor, training with Western University, Canadian Centre for Activity and Aging. Sheilah is a certified PiYo® Live instructor.
